Accredited Luxury Home Specialist (ALHS) Online Classroom Policy

Revised by the Luxury Home Council on: 3/30/2021

Attendance Policy:

One requirement to earn the ALHS Designation is to complete the ALHS Class. Completion requires the student to be in attendance 100% of the time and to ensure their attendance the Luxury Home Council has implemented the following policy:

  1. Each student must pre-register and pay their tuition in advance.
  2. During the introduction portion of the ALHS Class on Day 1, the instructor performs a roll call and reviews the rules and regulations that apply to the course for the student to graduate and receive education credits. One important topic is the adherence to strict attendance requirements and the instructor clearly explains the importance of each student remaining online and having their video camera always projecting their image. It is also crucial that each student checks in after breaks and a lunch period. A final roll call will be completed by the instructor at the end of each day. Throughout the day, the instructor will randomly call upon a student to participate in the class. This method further confirms the student’s attendance.
  3. Students are prohibited from using their cell phones, tablets, notepads, PCs, or any other electronic device that distracts them from the class. If a student utilizes such a device, they are subject to electronic removal from the class and the student will forfeit any continuing education credits earned to that point. The student will also be denied the ALHS Designation, and any tuition paid by the student will not be refunded in whole or part.
  4. The same attendance procedures mentioned in items 2 and 3 above will apply to any subsequent days of teaching.
